Hi, my name is Amber and welcome to Mamas of Angels! I wanted to create something that would encourage and uplift mamas who've miscarried. My hope is that we share our stories through letters (and eventually a book!) with any mama who needs it. While each of our stories are different, we all share the unique journey of having lil angels in Heaven.

 

My Story

May 2017 I had my first miscarriage. I went to the doctor's office to hear the heartbeat and instead left with an appointment for a D&C.

August/September I had my second. The dates are fuzzy, I just remember being pregnant and then suddenly not.

I was depressed and numb after the first. Angry after the second.

I created a playlist (music was my therapy) and played it nonstop with both.

There were two songs I played on repeat, "I Can Only Imagine" by MercyMe and "River" by Leon Bridges.

 

At the time I didn't really understand the meaning of either, but I was pulled into both songs.

I didn't know it then, but the Lord was using the miscarriages to save me. And He told me He was going to save me through those two songs.

I am now alive and have peace my babies are in Heaven with Him.

 

All I can say is He is faithful. He turned my biggest pain into my biggest beauty and I am forever grateful.

 

I hope this offers some encouragement to anyone who needs it. No matter what you are going through the Lord is with you.
